Hello and welcome!

I’m Caroline, a freelance designer and lettering artist working from my home studio in Adelaide.

My mission is quite simply to create unique, beautiful designs that communicate and inspire, which always tell a story and are distinctly memorable in some way. 

Everyone has their own unique story, something that sets them apart. So, what’s my story? Well, my creative journey has been a long winding road…

I grew up the eldest child in a very big and very loud Irish family. Creativity was my happy place and has always played a significant role in my life, it’s such an important part of who I am! 

When I finished high school I travelled a little around Australia working in the hospitality industry. This lifestyle enabled me to explore and experience the diversity that this beautiful country has to offer. I met so many unique characters along the way and it was an incredible journey, but the hours were a little harsh and there came a time that I felt I needed some stability. I came home to Adelaide and was working 9-5 as a legal assistant, where I settled down, married my childhood sweetheart and had two beautiful young children who kept me extremely busy! 

I started to feel that life was passing me by somehow, that there was something missing, I soon discovered that missing piece in my life was my creativity – a little cliché I know but… the everyday had taken over and I needed to find that creative spark again! So, I took a leap of faith, instinctively realising it was now or never, and finally began to pursue my creative dreams, studying Graphic Design part time at nights. That was back in 2008 and the rest, as they say, is history! 

My signature style is unique to me, just like my story, and my designs will often include modern calligraphy & lettering with detailed floral and abstract patterns. I am definitely all about Letters & Patterns. I love to work with traditional watercolours and inks and often finish my designs digitally using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I also have a new found love of Procreate where I have discovered a whole new world of creating artwork with a lot less mess and so many endless possibilities.
